Kathy McCaughey
For many years we have all enjoyed the lovely renditions of our hand bell choir….most likely not knowing what it really takes to bring the melodious harmonies to our ears. Many hours spent listening to background music, transferring chords to musical staffs and most of all "choraling" a sometimes unruly bunch of bell ringers into a choir. Amidst the laughter and fun, there is work to be done in order to bring the beautiful melodies to life. Kathy has served as our "pencil wielding" director taking all in stride making the challenge of a new piece fun! In 2012, she turned her directing pencil to her niece, Rebecca Campbell, to carry on the family tradition of excellence with a group of ding a lings! We are grateful for all the time, effort, patience & love you have given as our bell choir director……… We are thanking God for you…………
  Claren Rawson
We would be hard-pressed to find someone who has been to more meetings of the Des Moines Presbytery as our Elder Commissioner……Claren. And although the meetings can be very exciting, inspiring, and stimulating, representing our congregation could be a daunting task as sensitive topics and discussions come before the group. Claren serving in this capacity has taken the responsibility very seriously and has represented us well. Claren "adjourned" from this position at the end of 2012 leaving our representation to the trusted care of Chuck Casson & Janon McCaughey. We are most grateful for the time, energy, & many miles traveled as you served as "our voice" to the Presbytery in the capacity of Elder Commissioner. We are thanking God for you…….

Jackie Smith
Almost 40 years ago, Jackie took on the responsibility of Financial Secretary of this church. Throughout those many years, she willingly accepted the task of counting and recording the weekly offering……..which also included the special offering "banks" filled with coins of many children and families! This "job" was taken with full understanding of the confidence and trust that was placed in her by this church family…… and this was communicated with her 3 daughters, Lorna, Holly, & Heather as they observed the extreme care and diligence she exercised while handling the financial gifts placed in her care. With her humble nature, she felt this was something she "could" do noting that there were other areas of service she was not strong in or comfortable performing. No doubt we can all agree that Jackie used her God-given gifts to His glory and for our benefit. During 2012 she shared her great skills with Erika Laird and turned over the duties at the end of the year. We are forever grateful for the great amount of time, energy, & faithfulness you have given as our Financial Secretary. We are thanking God for you…………
  Ruth Willis
If you would like to know how much orange juice it takes to keep a church healthy or how many cups of coffee can be consumed during a Sunday morning fellowship time, Ruth would be the person to ask! We have come to know that our fellowship time is a very important part of our weekly worship….it is truly where we, as a family, come together to "build up" in preparation for the week ahead. And this time would be lacking greatly if not for the "behind the scenes" person making sure the supplies are available! Whatever the need, Ruth made every effort to meet it……taking the duties of the position to heart. And not only keeping the cupboards stocked, but also keeping the financial records as well. In the fall of 2012, Ruth chose to retire and pass the duties on to the care of Karol Funke. We are sincerely grateful for the time, energy, & effort you have given as our Fellowship Treasurer. We are thanking God for you…………
